Important COVID-19 Announcement

A patient guide to changes at Kansas City Surgical Arts influenced by COVID-19

  • If you have any reason to believe you have COVID-19 or have been exposed, please do not come to the office
  • Please wait 2 weeks to schedule if you have had recent plane or train travel or had flu like symptoms (cough,
    sore throat, or fever)
  • If you have had a positive COVID-19 diagnosis, please wait 7 days past your last symptom/fever to schedule
  • A “walk in” will not be accepted, you will need to be called to receive screening and an appointment time prior
    to being seen.
  • There will be a mandatory $25 facility reservation fee to prepare the staff and office for your visit***this fee is non -refundable should you miss your appointment***
  • We will be minimizing patient flow through the office
    • Pt’s will wait in the car and check in by calling the front desk (816) 286 4126
    • Please do not Approach or knock on the front door as it will be locked closed until we are ready for the next appointed patient.
    • Only the patient will be allowed in the office unless they are not their own guardian
      • Only one guardian will be allowed in otherwise
    • We will try to minimize your requirement to present in person
      • Zoom or Face Time consults, pre op appointments and post op appointments will be used when possible
  • Patients must fill out an updated registration and COVID-19 attestation and consent online prior to appointment:
  • Patients who require management of blood thinners or pre-operative clearance from their cardiologist/PCP must have that arranged before the appointment and have a letter from the physician explaining the same.
    • Please do not stop taking any medications without the direction of your physician
  • Please have your referral form and x-ray available if given to you previously.
  • Patients can expect to have their temperature taken on arrival and be asked to don a facemask and shoe booties as well as wash their hands thoroughly on arrival
  • Please observe social distancing in the office as well as infection prevention measures (sneeze into you elbow, refrain from placing fingers around face, mouth, and eyes)
  • We are trying to make appointments as efficient as possible so please expect to have your procedure done and arrange payment the same day when possible
  • Scheduling is very exact, if you are over 15min late, your appointment will be rescheduled
  • As we are taking every effort and precaution to ensure the safety of the patients and staff, please be patient with us during this transition time if your appointment runs late.
