With a Thighplasty, You Can Have Enviable Fit Thighs

September 7, 2017, 10:44 pm

Most of us are not born with the perfect thighs. Squats and dieting can help, but to get toned and sculpted thighs, some of us need a little extra help. The internet recommends various kinds of exercises to get your thighs in great shape, but not everyone’s thighs respond to those exercises. Lunges, leg-lifts, and squats can only do so much to shape and tone your thighs.

Dieting is important, too, as your thigh area falls prey to lots of cellulite, which is nothing but bound-up fat cells that refuse to budge once they set in. But even following a strict diet can help only to a certain extent.

There’s a better, faster, and easier way to have enviable fit thighs: a thigh lift, also known as thighplasty surgery.

What Is a Thighplasty?

A thighplasty is a type of plastic surgery that helps to reshape, tone, and recontour the thighs. The thighs can be a problematic area for most people, especially those who have a pear-shaped body. All the weight that they put on settles in the thighs, which can be extremely difficult and frustrating to get rid of. A thighplasty is the perfect solution.

How Will a Thighplasty Help to Shape and Tone My Thighs?

A thighplasty works by removing excess skin, fat, and cellulite from the inner and outer thighs and tightening the skin around the areas. This surgery is perfect for those people whose thighs are unresponsive to diet and exercise. A thigh lift is your ticket to achieving firmer and more attractive thighs.

There are various ways to perform a thighplasty surgery, and your surgeon will recommend the best method for you based on your medical history, body type, and other factors.

Are You An Eligible Candidate for a Thigh Lift?

You are an eligible candidate for a thigh lift procedure if:

• You maintain a stable weight.
• You are in overall good health.
• You are a non-smoker and a non-drinker.
• You are in good psychological health.
• You have realistic expectations for your thighplasty results.
• You can exercise regularly after the surgery and maintain a strict diet to help preserve the results of your thighplasty.

If you fulfill the above conditions, then you are most likely eligible for a thighplasty surgery.

How Is a Thighplasty Performed?

A thigh lift usually takes about two hours to perform and is typically performed under general anesthesia, as it is a lengthy procedure. The surgeon will decide beforehand with the patient on the type of anesthesia to use and the kind of incisions to be made. There are primarily three types of thigh lift surgery: an inner thigh lift, a bilateral thigh lift, and a medial thigh lift.

In an inner thigh lift, the incisions are made in the inner part of the thighs, followed by removal of excess fat and skin and then closure of incisions. A bilateral thigh lift involves removing excess skin and fat from the front and the outside of the legs. A medial thigh lift removes and tightens the skin and fat on the inner and upper thigh areas.
